Swiss media reported the arrest of two Russian spies who tried to infiltrate a secret laboratory in Spiez, where he conducted investigation of incidents hematoma in Syria, as well as poisoning a British agent, a former Colonel of the Main intelligence Directorate (GRU) Sergei Skripal and his daughter Julia. This writes the newspaper Tages Anzeiger, citing its own sources.

According to the publication, the Russians detained in the spring of 2018 in the Netherlands in the framework of a joint special operation of the country with Switzerland and the UK. They were in possession of the equipment for hacking computer networks.
The representative of the laboratory in Spiez Andreas Bucher confirmed the information about the attempt of a cyber attack, but stressed that the theft was prevented.
“We were ready for it, the data breach did not happen”, — said the expert.
We don’t know exactly what the citizens of Russia did in the Netherlands, however, the publication notes that the Hague is the headquarters of the Organization for the prohibition of chemical weapons (OPCW), which also conducted an investigation into the incidents in Syria and Salisbury.
