Hackers in 2017 held 11 successful attacks on Russian banks, whereby the kidnapped 1,156 billion rubles ($20 million). This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the Bank of Russia Dmitry Skobelkin, reports the online edition of the Chronicle.info.
“Only for 2017 the year there were no less than 21 waves of Cobalt Strike. Attacks were more than 240 credit institutions, of which successful attacks were 11,” said Skobelkin.
Recall that hackers broke into one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges Japan’s Coincheck and stole more than 500 million tokens NEM, which is about $ 400 million.
