Lefortovo court of Moscow on Friday extended until November 14 detention of former member of the Board of “inter RAO” Karina Tsurkan, accused of espionage, the correspondent of RIA Novosti news from the courtroom.
“The court held: the petition of the investigation to satisfy, extend, Turcan against the accused the measure of restraint in form of custody up to November 14”, — announced the decision of judge Anna Antipova.
The meeting was held behind closed doors.
As the lawyer said Turcan, Ivan Pavlov, it is accused of transfer to special services of Moldova data on the Russian energy companies. According to the defender, Turcan accused that in August 2004 she became an agent of the Moldovan intelligence services.
In April 2015, she received the electronic version of the “draft document of the energy Ministry on certain aspects of the actions of the Russian energy companies on the channel of international cooperation.” At the end of September 2015, she gave the document to the secret service of Moldova. Thus, as stressed by the defender, it is unclear where and how the circumstances took place to provide information.
According to him, the experts of the FSB, came to the conclusion that the information in this document, constitute state secrets. Turcan does not consider himself guilty.
The case marked marked “top secret”, so the plot, virtually nothing is known. According to sources, RIA Novosti in the power industry, Turcan participated in the work on electricity supply from Russia to Ukraine and from Ukraine to Crimea in 2014-2015.
