Member States of NATO urged Russia to withdraw its troops from the territory of Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia. This is stated in a communiqué published on the website of the Alliance.
“We reaffirm our support for the sovereignty of Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova within their internationally recognized borders,” — said in the statement.
In particular, Russia called “stop supporting” the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk people’s republics and to abandon recognition of Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
Furthermore, the communique noted the importance of the Normandy format and the format of the Trilateral contact group for settling the conflict in Eastern Ukraine.
Earlier it was reported that the OSCE PA adopted a resolution calling on Russia to withdraw its troops from Transnistria.
