The centenary of the Armistice pointed to Quebec

Hundreds of soldiers are gathered in front of the Cross of Sacrifice at the entrance of the plains of Abraham, in Quebec city, Sunday morning, to commemorate the day of Remembrance.

The annual event has special meaning for military personnel, veterans and their families, given the centenary of the signing of the Armistice of 1918 that ended the First world War.

A parade composed of a hundred of the soldiers of the 2nd battalion of the royal 22nd Regiment and several tens of veterans is scheduled for 10: 30 a.m. at the start of the Manège militaire in Québec city.

The ceremony was held in presence of many dignitaries.
